Marcello is currently a PhD student within the BPM Research Group, at the Faculty of Information Technology, Queensland University of Technology - Brisbane, Australia. He started his PhD in 2005 and expects to complete it by the end of 2008. Marcello gained his "Laurea" degree in Computer Engineering (equivalent to BScEng + MScEng) from Politecnico di Torino - Italy in 2005.

Among process configuration, his research interests include collaborative process modeling, process automation and Software Oriented Architectures design and analysis. Marcello is also working as developer for the YAWL Initiative. In this context, he actively participated in the implementation and deployment of the YAWL for Film platform - an adaptation of the YAWL workflow system to the requirements of film production.
